CAPTAIN CAVE MAAAAAN....

There was a couple of great articles in the Sunday New York Times . One in particular tickled my fancy. It was about Spain's cave homes....the quiet sounded so alluring!

I love the white washed limestone. The rounded interior is what I like most about the Santa Fe style, and the rustic style- juxtaposed with something modern and bah boom you've really got something. Obviously the decor in this shot needs a little spit polish... but I have seen it work brilliantly.

There was another fascinating article about the architecture of Eritrea as well. (Top pics) Very intriguing. It wasn't on my list until now. Italian architecture, beautiful climate, modern amenities...see top photos. It's the Cuba of the mid east.
