This ain't your grandfather's Kwanza!

A bit of holiday merriment for my seasonal clients!

MMMMM smells a lot like Christmas!

Ran out of frankincense and myrrh, so I substituted marjoram and marbles... hope they'll be ok with that!

Traditional...

Colorado Christmas complete with bon-bons!

My favorite. I call this one my sweet tooth; roots branches and all.

...just a few wrapped gifts.

Photo shoot fun!

This gorgeous home in Cornerstone was a blast to photo style... I had so much to work with... The designer and architect did an amazing job creating a very modern yet comfortable and cozy house. Kudos to booth of them!
Loved the photographer too- benedmunson.com
Bridger Construction built this solid, house...made all the plans come to life! Lucky us!
This is just a little taste of the photos shot yesterday!

Fancy

Most readers know I'm not usually a fringe and tassel kind a gal...but I often have clients with a more traditional aesthetic which allows me to put on my fancy frock and fringe away! I did fall head over heels for this faux bois pattern! it's so soft and helps give this mountain classic and well appointed house a little kick!

Poster child for Winter Building Practices

I think the building inspector is in love with our project manager Jack. The guy knows how to "keep it dry!"
These are insulated concrete forms, ICFs

The door is in! I should have stepped back for a wider shot! The shot on the bottom is the before...a pretty door but not as "WOWIE" as the one above! Happy client, check! Happy designer, check!

Architec-TOUR San Fransisco's Victorians

Most readers know I'm a bit of a modernists, but I have to admit I love looking at really over the top painted Ladies- who doesn't, right?!
San Francisco is the perfect spot to rubber neck!

I wonder how big the tree was when they built this slender beauty.

IMG_1891

Some may call it gilding the lily but the status points earned by egg and dart molding over crown over fluted columns was maybe the equivalent of an ipad in one hand, kombucha in the other, waving to your one of three nannies while on your way to heli-ski pre-season work-out class in your next season uggs and Lulu Lemon size 0's. Perhaps... I'm no expert.

This one doesn't seem as fussy, and I really like the colors!

The one below is unfortunate...I mean the abacus is a bit too high.

Actually, I kinda like the beads and the way they work with the rest of the classic greek revival business.

Get a load of the gold! Showoffs! sheesh!

Scott is always blown away by how close these Victorians built their houses. You'd be lucky to get an ace of clubs in between these two girls.

Esalen hobbit housing

Blue sky bliss in Big Sur

Mornin'

Amazing fence inspired by the ---- tears plant. Ahhhhh what is the name?
Job's tears? They look like beads suspended on string...

Stairs as steep as a ladder - this soooo wouldn't be code in CO!

...and finally the hobbit like houses tucked here and there all around Esalen Institute. What an amazing trip. Blissed out by the gardens, the food, the workshop, the sculpture, ahhhhh!
